Is Sphinx Movement a public gym?

No, Sphinx Movement is a one-woman show with most services offered on an appointment-only basis.

This means flexibility in schedule, transparency in our prices, and peace of mind knowing that you will never have to deal with hidden membership fees.

Do private training packages expire?

We understand that life gets busy! That’s why we give our clients 3 months from the date of purchase to use their private training packages.

What is a pop-up class?

Pop-up classes have registrations open to the public and vary in theme. The length can be 60-90 min. And it can on occasion be a joined collaboration with another instructor or wellness practitioner. Topics are educational and aim to help round the participants’ fitness/wellness journey.

What do I need to bring to my session?

Bring a mat, water, hand towel, or any other prop that can support your practice.

What is a Thai-Yoga Bodywork session?

Thai-Yoga Bodywork is NOT your traditional massage. It integrates assisted stretching techniques with harmonic compressing and thumbing sequences in sync with each breath. The result is an increased range of motion, relief from arthritic pain, lower blood pressure, and a revitalized mind and body.

A good way to visualize your experience is by imagining Paz arranging your body into different yoga poses. Paz will use her hands, knees, legs, elbows, or feet to help manipulate the body into different shapes.

Thai Yoga also uses energy work, which involves applying pressure to specific points on the body to open channels to improve and restore the natural energy flow throughout the body.

How can I prepare for a Thai-Yoga Bodywork session?

When there’s no need to prepare for a Thai Yoga session, we suggest considering the following advice:

  • Try to arrive 10 min early to use the restroom, fill in paperwork, and/or update us with any changes in your range of motion, muscle pain, or other expectations.

  • Come to the appointment wearing loose-fitting or athletic clothing. Try to avoid tight clothing like jeans or slacks that can limit the range of motion during the bodywork session.

  • Abstain from eating a heavy meal at least an hour prior to the session.

How can I book a Thai-yoga bodywork?

Call Paz at (706)982-9845 and check for availability. Once you choose a date, you have 12 hrs to secure your slot by buying the session in our website shop. Failure to pre-pay for your service means your appointment will not be registered in my calendar.

What are Private Small Group Classes?

These are small group classes offered in a private training setting. With 3-6 participants per group, you can be sure to receive plenty of attention to support your form and modifications that will increase your performance while minimizing the risk of injury. Some of our most common formats are: Kickboxing, TRX, and mat pilates.

What is your cancelation policy?

We are flexible and hold no late cancelation fee for cancelations/rescheduling appointments made with 24 hours or more notice from the original appointment time.

Cancelations/rescheduling appointments made with less than 24 hours’ notice fall into our Late Cancelation Policy.
